Karibu!

We hope to have some tasty Tanzanian Treats here for you today. Tanzania is where many Baboons are from, and is home to Ngorongoro Crater, Mt. Kilimanjaro, Zanzibar Island and the Seringetti Plains!  In Tanzania it is called Myama Choma, and is usually goat meat cooked over an open fire and is sometimes spicy!

Chipsi Mayai ~ Scrambled Eggs and French Fries, or "Chips" to our English friends!

Michicha
is a very common side dish in Tanzania ~ Spinach cooked with Coconut and Peanuts. Ours is served with some tasty BBQ chicken!

Nyizi Nyama

Acha Achali Mapaupai Mabichi
Green Papaya Chutney, bet it would be very tasty with the Myama Choma!

The ubiquitous food of Tanzania & many places in Eastern Africa.
Ugali
Usually made with white cornmeal, but sometimes with millet and peanuts It is served with everything & eaten by hand. You dip it in all sorts of sauces made from meat, fruit, or vegetables.

Fruits of all sorts are eaten in Tanzania.
Passion fruit, Papaya, Banana, and Oranges. Fruit is an especial favorite for dessert.

Coconut Bean Soup

 Yum! Prawns!!
Seafood of all sorts is comes from the Island of Zanzibar, just off the coast of Tanzania

Yeah, believe it or not, Tacos are a very well like dish in Tanzania!
A little different that "Western" tacos, made with a Cream Cheese base, Corn, Chick Peas, and a sweet BBQ sauce

Map of Tanzania with many of the parks listed

Samosas in the open air food market at Stone Town's Forodhani Ga
Samosas
are a very common snack. Sometimes made with potato, onion, fresh coriander, cottage cheese known as Paneer, and pea stuffing. Or a spicy minced meat and served with chutney. Sometimes they are filled with a sweet filling. We have both a potato variety, and a sweet one filled with Coconut and Date flavored with Tanzanian Honey

Another Tanzanian treat is Sweet Potato Pudding, ours is served with Bacon! (which probably wouldn't be very common in Tanzania, but I do know my anipals!...snicker...)

Another tasty treat from Tanzania is Maandazi,
a fried donut often flavored with cardamon or cloves

Some tasty drinks!

One of Tanzania's own drink creations! Often served at celebrations like weddings, Mbege is beer made from Banana and Millet! Maybe we can make our own...and add Bacon!

This is how the Giraffes do it!

Konyagi
is a rum-like liquor made in Tanzania, so we'll make some tasty Meowjitos and Rum Sunrises for your drinking pleasure!

Oh, how about a Hemmingway's Daiquiri
Made with Grapefruit Juice, White Cherry liqueur, a splash of Lime, and of course, Konyagi Rum! Looks pretty tasty and cool!

Oh, a Pina Colada made with Tanzanian Pineapple and Coconut! Tasty!

Our Wild Berrytini! Sure to hit the spot!

Chai is very popular in Tanzania You can order ours hot or iced!

Did you know a lot of Tea is grown in Tanzania? We have it both hot or iced.

Another product of Tanzania ~ Coffee
